Truth about West Bank

Ω

Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon explains the historical

facts relating to the Israeli Palestinian conflict. The video explains where the

terms “West Bank”, “occupied territories” and “67 Borders” originated and how

they are incorrectly used and applied.

Ω

Origin of the Name Palestine

Where did the name Palestine come from?

The name Palestine refers to a region of the eastern Mediterranean coast from the sea to the Jordan valley and from the southern Negev desert to the Galilee lake region in the north. The word itself derives from “Plesheth”, a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as “Philistine”. Plesheth, (root palash) was a general term meaning rolling or migratory. This referred to the Philistine’s invasion and conquest of the coast from the sea. The Philistines were not Arabs nor even Semites, they were most closely related to the Greeks originating from Asia Minor and Greek localities. They did not speak Arabic. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs.

The Philistines reached the southern coast of Israel in several waves. One group arrived in the pre-patriarchal period and settled south of Beersheba in Gerar where they came into conflict with Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael. Another group, coming from Crete after being repulsed from an attempted invasion of Egypt by Rameses III in 1194 BCE, seized the southern coastal area, where they founded five settlements (Gaza, Ascalon, Ashdod, Ekron and Gat). In the Persian and Greek periods, foreign settlers – chiefly from the Mediterranean islands – overran the Philistine districts.

From the fifth century BC, following the historian Herodotus, Greeks called the eastern coast of the Mediterranean “the Philistine Syria” using the Greek language form of the name. In AD 135, after putting down the Bar Kochba revolt, the second major Jewish revolt against Rome, the Emperor Hadrian wanted to blot out the name of the Roman “Provincia Judaea” and so renamed it “Provincia Syria Palaestina”, the Latin version of the Greek name and the first use of the name as an administrative unit. The name “Provincia Syria Palaestina” was later shortened to Palaestina, from which the modern, anglicized “Palestine” is derived.

This remained the situation until the end of the fourth century, when in the wake of a general imperial reorganization Palestine became three Palestines: First, Second, and Third. This configuration is believed to have persisted into the seventh century, the time of the Persian and Muslim conquests.

The Christian Crusaders employed the word Palestine to refer to the general region of the “three Palestines.” After the fall of the crusader kingdom, Palestine was no longer an official designation. The name, however, continued to be used informally for the lands on both sides of the Jordan River. The Ottoman Turks, who were non-Arabs but religious Muslims, ruled the area for 400 years (1517-1917). Under Ottoman rule, the Palestine region was attached administratively to the province of Damascus and ruled from Istanbul. The name Palestine was revived after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in World War I and applied to the territory in this region that was placed under the British Mandate for Palestine.

The name “Falastin” that Arabs today use for “Palestine” is not an Arabic name. It is the Arab pronunciation of the Roman “Palaestina”.

Quoting Golda Meir:

  • The British chose to call the land they mandated Palestine, and the Arabs picked it up as their nation’s supposed ancient name, though they couldn’t even pronounce it correctly and turned it into Falastin a fictional entity. [In an article by Sarah Honig, Jerusalem Post, November 25, 1995]

Ω

There are Arabs who lived in Palestine, just as there were Jews. They were all “Palestinians”
in that sense. Yasser Arafat coined the term “Palestinians” for the Arabs who who emigrated
from Israel on recommendation of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, just
before they attacked the new nation of Israel. They were Arabs before they emigrated, and
they are still Arabs. They are not Palestinians. They are palestinian Arabs, just as the Jews
who live in the West Bank are Palestinian Jews. There are even Palestinian Christians.
All because in ancient times, the Roman legions have mandated that area, that is east of the
Mediterranean, as “Palestine”.  But, in truth, there is NO Palestinian people!

The Jewish Dream

*The song starts at 7 minutes*

DREAMING

The morning rays strike the place
Masada’s heroes fought
Our tears swell for those who fell
Forever in our thoughts
Dreaming of some day at hand
When innocent blood no longer stains the sand
The glistening sea of the Galilee
Reflects the azure sky
Birds’ sweet trill from Tzfas’ hills
Echo as they fly
Dreaming of some future time
When joyful songs replace the siren cries

So with hope we lift our eyes to you, Jerusalem
G-d’s grace will surely rise from you, Jerusalem
Though for thousands of years we’ve been scattered
In you our prayers are gathered
Near and far, any place we are, Jerusalem

So we take you in our heart and soul, Jerusalem
We will never ever let you go, Jerusalem
For all that we’ve had to endure, now
Israel’ll be strong and secure now
G-d will help us through
Dreams do come true, Jerusalem

Machpela Cave given away
No more to hear our prayers
Walls cast gloom on Rochel’s tomb
We still have much to fear
Dreaming of the perfect dawn
When new griefs no longer must be mourned

In her mountain coves, under olive groves
They long for time to spend
But the Golan Heights and border fights
Her young soldiers must defend
Dreaming of some coming day
When tools of war can be forever thrown away

So with hope we lift our eyes to you, Jerusalem
G-d’s grace will surely rise from you, Jerusalem
Though for thousands of years we’ve been scattered
In you our prayers are gathered
From near and far, any place we are, Jerusalem

So we take you in our heart and soul, Jerusalem
We will never ever let you go, Jerusalem
For all that we’ve had to endure, now
Israel’ll be strong and secure now
G-d will help us through
Dreams do come true, Jerusalem

The Kotel’s stones hear the moans
Of desperate groups of Jews
We must unite in Israel’s fight
We have so much to lose
Dreaming of a day to be
When we walk our land, together, proud and free!

So with hope we lift our eyes to you, Jerusalem
G-d’s grace will surely rise from you, Jerusalem
Though for thousands of years we’ve been scattered
In you our prayers are gathered
So we turn to you, each and every Jew, Jerusalem

So we take you in our heart and soul, Jerusalem
We will never ever let you go, Jerusalem
For all that we’ve had to endure, now
Israel’ll be strong and secure now
G-d will help us through
Dreams do come true, Jerusalem

Rain On Me

RAIN ON ME

Holy Spirit of the L-rd, rain down on me
Let me now receive Your gifts abundantly
Let them be to serve my G-d eternally
Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on me

Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on this place
As we enter in Your presence to seek Your face
We will come before Your throne singing Your praise
Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on me

Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit rain on me
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit rain on me

Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on Israel
Prophesies and dreams and visions
Young and old to tell
Let them call upon Yeshua and drink from the well
Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on me

Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on the earth
Let the people hear Your Word and see what it’s worth
Let the world receive Your Spirit and the Rebirth
Holy Spirit of the L-rd rain on me

Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit rain on me
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit rain on me

GOD’S LIBRARY_OLD TESTAMENT_PART TWO

“MAN MUST LIVE, NOT ON BREAD ALONE,

BUT ON EVERY UTTERANCE COMING FORTH

THROUGH JEHOVAH’S MOUTH” (MATTHEW 4:4) – NWT

66 books of the BIBLE : ALL SCRIPTURES ARE INSPIRED BY GOD

PART TWO

LAMENTATIONS – A SEQUEL TO JEREMIAH’S PROPHECY WHOM
LAMENTED SORROWFULLY OVER THEIR RUINS OF THE HOLY CITY
AND THE SACRED TEMPLE WHICH HAD STOOD FOR OVER 400
YEARS. JEREMIAH WEPT IN SEPARATE POEMS IN LAMENTATIONS
REGARDING WHY GOD HAD PERMITTED THE FALL OF JERUSALEM.
IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE SINS OF THE PEOPLE AND THEIR
REJECTION OF THE ONE TRUE GOD, JEHOVAH.
EZEKIEL – PROPHET EZEKIEL APPOINTED BY GOD TO PREACHED
CAREFULLY CONTRIVED PROPHECIES REGARDING DOWNFALL
OF JUDAH AND JERUSALEM; JUDGMENTS UPON NATIONS WHO
SEEK TO DESTROY HIS PEOPLE; THE FINAL CALL AT THAT TIME
FOR THE REPENTANCE OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND LASTLY,
THE GLORIOUS RESTORATION OF ISRAEL.
DANIEL – DURING THE BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY OF THE JEWS,
DANIEL AND HIS 3 FRIENDS [Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego]
HAVE DISPLAYED THEIR FEARLESS LOYALTY TO THE ONE FAITH
IN ONE TRUE GOD, JEHOVAH, OF THEIR FOREFATHERS AND
ALSO THEIR ADVANCEMENT INTO THE REALMS OF ROYAL FAVOR.
DANIEL INTERPRETED KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR’S DREAM AND
THE SYMBOLIC VISIONS THAT PORTENDS THE FOUR SUCCESSIVE
EMPIRES OF THE WORLD : BABYLON, PERSIA, GREECE AND ROME.
THE LAST EMPIRE WILL BE SUCCEEDED BY THE COMING OF THE
KINGDOM OF GOD.
HOSEA – A PROPHET OF THE NORTHERN KINGDOM OF ISRAEL
CALLED REPENTANCE FROM THEM AS HE FORESAW THE DOOM
THAT WERE TO BEFALL THEM IF THEY CONTINUED IN THEIR
SINS. THE REBELLIOUSNESS OF THE CHOSEN ONES WITH
THEIR UNGRATEFULNESS SOUGHT HELP FROM THE ASSYRIANS
AND THE EGYPTIANS RATHER FROM THE ONE TRUE GOD,
JEHOVAH, WHO HAD BEEN SHOWING THEM HIS LOVING
KINDNESS AND MERCY TIME AND TIME AGAIN. HOSEA ALSO
FORETOLD ABOUT THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH, JESUS CHRIST,
700 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE.
JOEL – A SYMBOLIC VISION FROM JOEL AS HE WARNED JUDAH
AND ISRAEL REGARDING THE PLAGUE OF LOCUSTS AND SEVERE
FAMINE OF THE LAND IF THEY DO NOT REPENT.  JOEL PLEADED
WITH THEM TO HUMBLE THEMSELVES BEFORE THE GREAT LORD
GOD JEHOVAH AND TO ASKED FOR HIS FORGIVENESS THROUGH
FASTING AND PRAYERS.  JOEL WAS PROSNOSTICATING OF THE
COMING OF THE “DAY OF THE LORD” WHICH GOD WILL SMITE
ALL THOSE WITH A REBELLIOUS AND UNREPENTANT HEART AND
HIS JUDGMENT WILL BE HARSH AND SEVERE, THOROUGH AND
MOST CERTAIN!
AMOS – A SHEPHERD FROM TEKOA, A SMALL TOWN FROM JUDEA;
WHOSE NAME MEANT “BURDEN BEARER” WAS CALLED BY LORD
GOD WITH A MISSION TO SEND THE MESSAGE OF DOOM UPON
ISRAEL AND THE SURROUNDING NATIONS. THEIR PRACTICES
OF IDOLATRY, PAGAN WORSHIPS, GREED, OPPRESSION OF THE
NEEDY AND ALSO THEIR CONTINUAL NEGLECT OF GOD’S
WORDS IGNITED GOD’S WRATH UPON OTHER NATIONS AND
JUDAH BUT ISRAEL SUFFERED THE HARSHEST OF PUNISHMENTS;
MORE SEVERE BECAUSE OF THEIR DEPTH OF THEIR SINS. AMOS’S
CHASTISEMENTS  WENT UNHEEDED AND SO ISRAEL WERE
EXILED INTO CAPTIVITY.
OBADIAH – HIS NAME LITERALLY MEANS “SERVANT OF JEHOVAH”.
THIS BOOK IS THE SHORTEST OF PROPHETICAL WRITINGS IN
JUST ONE CHAPTER WHICH FORETOLD ON THE DOOM OF EDOM,
WHO ARE DESCENDANTS OF ESAU AND THE PROMISE OF
DELIVERANCE FOR ZION, JERUSALEM.
JONAH – A LIFE OF PERIL LIVED FOR THE RELUCTANT RUNAWAY
PROPHET FROM DUTY ORDAINED BY JEHOVAH GOD. HIS MISSION
WAS TO DELIVER A MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF
NINEVEH FROM DESTRUCTION IN FORTY DAYS.
MICAH – HIS NAME INJECTS A MIGHTY STATEMENT “WHO IS
LIKE JEHOVAH”. HE FORESAW THE INVASION FROM FOREIGNERS,
THE DISPERSION OF THE ISRAELITES FOR THEIR SINS AND THE
INEVITABLE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM BUT THE MOST
SIGNIFICANT OF ALL IS THAT HE IS THE ONLY PROPHET WHO
FORETOLD ABOUT THE BIRTH OF CHRIST IN BETHLEHEM [5:2]
NAHUM – A NATIVE OF GALILEE WITH A NAME “COMFORTER”
TO HIS CREDIT.  NAHUM’S PROPHECY WAS UNLIKE JONAH
WHICH WAS THE CERTAINTY OF DOOM FOR THE CORRUPT
PEOPLE OF NINEVEH WHOM HAD RETURNED TO THEIR SINFUL
WAYS. APART FROM NINEVEH, HE FORESAW JUDAH’S FUTURE
DELIVERANCE.
HABAKKUK – A PROPHET WHOSE NAME GOES BY “ONE WHO
EMBRACES” LIVED 600 YEARS BEFORE CHRIST IN TIMES
WHERE THE CHALDEANS CONQUERED NINEVEH OF THE
ASSYRIAN EMPIRE. THE “WHY” PROPHET WITH HIS
EXPECTANT  REPLY FROM HIS SINCERE PRAYER TO
JEHOVAH; LEARNT THAT WE NEEDED TO TRUST IN GOD
IMPLICITLY AND ALSO THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL LIVE BY
HIS OWN FAITH IN THE ONE TRUE GOD JEHOVAH.
ZEPHANIAH – HE PROPHESIED DURING THE REIGN OF KING
JOSIAH AND WHOSE NAME MEANS ‘DEFENDED BY JEHOVAH”.
HE FORETOLD OF UNIVERSAL JUDGMENT AND DIVINE WRATH
TO FALL UPON ALL NATIONS INCLUDING JUDAH TOO IF ALL
DEFY GOD’S LAW. ZEPHANIAH PLACED EMPHASIS ON SPIRITUAL
WORSHIP AND PREACHED THAT WORSHIP TOWARDS GOD NEED
NOT BE A PHYSICAL SANCTITY BUT IN THE QUIET SOLITUDE
OF OUR HEARTS. HE FURTHER STRESSED ON GOD’S SALVATION
AND JUDGMENT FOR MANKIND, AND ALSO THE PROMISES OF
NEW HEAVENS AND EARTH.
HAGGAI – THOUGH HE PROPHESIED FOR ONLY A SHORT TIME;
HAGGAI WHOSE NAME MEANS “MY FEAST” WAS THE FIRST
VOICE TO BE HEARD AFTER THE EXILE; HE RICOCHETED STERN
REPROOFS TO THE RESTORED PEOPLE OF GOD. HE TOLD THEM
OF THEIR DUTY TO RESTORE AND REBUILD GOD’S HOUSE OF
WORSHIP, THE TEMPLE, WHICH WAS BUILT BY KING SOLOMON
AND DESTROYED BY INVADERS. ZERUBBABEL, GOVERNOR OF
JERUSALEM AND JOSHUA, THE HIGH PRIEST AND THE PEOPLE
SET UPON THAT ENORMOUS TASK BUT WAS DISCOURAGED
EASILY. HAGGAI PIPED IN AND ENCOURAGED THEM THAT
GOD WAS WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES AND JEHOVAH
WILL BLESS JERUSALEM WITH A MUCH GREATER TEMPLE
ARRAYED SPLENDOR AND GLORY.
ZECHARIAH – “JEHOVAH REMEMBERS” IS THE MEANING OF
HIS GIVEN NAME. HE JOINED HAGGAI IN AROUSING AND
ENCOURAGING THE RETURNED CAPTIVES IN BUILDING
THE SANCTUARY OF JEHOVAH GOD. THE TEMPLE WAS
FINALLY BUILT IN FOUR YEARS AND DEDICATED TO GOD.
HIS PROPHESIES LOOKED FAR BEYOND INTO THE FUTURE,
TO THE COMING OF OUR MESSIAH AND THE DAWN OF A
BETTER AND BRIGHTER TOMORROW.
MALACHI – THE LAST MINOR PROPHET OF THE OLD
TESTAMENT AND HIS NAME BEARS “MY MESSENGER”.
HE REBUKES THE SINS AND FOLLIES OF THE JEWS. HE
PREDICTED THE PREPARATION OF HIS WAY [MESSIAH]
BY JOHN THE BAPTIST. HE ALSO REPROVED NEGLECTFUL
PRIESTS AND WARNS STERNLY ABOUT THE JUDGMENT
TO COME UPON THE NATION THAT HAD TURNED BACK TO
SINFUL WAYS AFTER BEING PROVIDENTIALLY RETURNED
FROM EXILED IN CAPTIVITY.

The Two Seas

∞ The Two Seas ∞

Δ

Θ

galilee-sea_dead-sea

Ever visited Israel? If you did, then you know that Israel has two lakes. The one up

in the North is the Kinneret, also known as the sea of Galilee, because it is up in the

area called the Galilee. From this lake comes most of the water in the tiny state.

The ancient city of Tiberias, located on its shores, is today a flourishing city.

Here the delicious St. Peter’s fish is caught by the local fishermen and prized as a

delicacy.

sea-of-galilee
north sea of Galilee_life giving

From the Kinneret, the water is purified and pumped into large pipelines that bring

the life-giving water to the towns and cities all over the country. From the Kinneret,

the Jordan river winds it’s way down to the Dead Sea. It is much smaller now than

in the times of the Bible, but still enough to give life and green to the plants all along

it’s path.

dead-sea
south dead sea_death awaits

The second of Israel’s lakes is the Dead Sea. The dead sea is an area of desolation.

Even though the sweet waters of the Jordan flow into it, yet the salty mineral water

is too heavy to be diluted. No plants grow around the banks of the dead sea, and no

fish or plant life exist in the heavily salty waters. The salt concentrate is not like that

of the average oceans of the world. It is so great that when a bather walks into the

water, at a point approximately at his chest, the dense water lifts him up and he will

float. Indeed no one is able to swim in the water. The salt and mineral content is so

great that it burns the eyes and any open wound. After being in the water, a bather

must wash to cleanse himself from the salt and mineral residue.

What a contrast! Compare the life-giving water of the Kinneret in the North to the

deathly parched area around the Dead Sea.

α Ω

Yet we are told that this is similar to two basic types of people:

There is the giver, the person who gives generously whether of his time or his money.

And there is the taker, the person who only takes, and any giving on

his part is only in his own self interest, to promote more taking.

The giver, gives, and life grows around him.

The taker only takes and death is around him, nothing sprouts.

ζ

Yes, there are contributory rivers that flow into the Kinneret, but their waters are

not kept there, but distributed to other needy sources. The giver is the sustainer

of life. The Dead Sea is located in the lowest part of Israel and one of the lowest

parts of the world. The Dead Sea keeps all of it’s water to itself. Similarly, the taker,

only takes and keeps it only for himself. No one else benefits from him. Nothing is

lower that this.

Even from the geography of the Holy Land of Israel, we learn deep lessons on

how to conduct our lives. Let’s be a giver. Let’s concern ourselves with the other

person. Remember, even smiling at the next person is an act of giving. Let’s go

beyond our needs and see what we can do to help the next person.

Difference between TIBETANS and PALESTINIANS

A TALE OF TWO PEOPLES

By Dennis Prager
3/25/2008

The long-suffering Tibetans have been in the news. This happens perhaps once or

twice a decade. In a more moral world, however, public opinion would be far more

preoccupied with Tibetans than with Palestinians, would be as harsh on China as

it is on Israel, and would be as fawning on Israel as it now is on China.

But, alas, the world is, as it has always been, a largely mean-spirited and morally

insensitive place, where might is far more highly regarded than right.

Consider the facts:

Tibet, at least 1,400 years old, is one of the world’s oldest nations, has its own language,

its own religion and even its own ethnicity. Over 1 million of its people have been killed

by the Chinese, its culture has been systematically obliterated, 6,000 of its 6,200

monasteries have been looted and destroyed, and most of its monks have been tortured,

murdered or exiled.

Palestinians have none of these characteristics. There has never been a Palestinian

country, never been a Palestinian language, never been a Palestinian ethnicity, never

been a Palestinian religion in any way distinct from Islam elsewhere. Indeed, “Palestinian”

had always meant any individual living in the geographic area called Palestine.

For most of the first half of the 20th century, “Palestinian” and “Palestine” almost

always referred to the Jews of Palestine.

The United Jewish Appeal, the worldwide Jewish charity that provided the nascent

Jewish state with much of its money, was actually known as the United Palestine

Appeal.

Compared to Tibetans, few Palestinians have been killed, its culture has not been

destroyed nor its mosques looted or plundered, and Palestinians have received

billions of dollars from the international community.

Unlike the dying Tibetan nation, there are far more Palestinians today than when

Israel was created. None of this means that a distinct Palestinian national identity

does not now exist.

Since Israel’s creation such an identity has arisen and does indeed exist.

Nor does any of this deny that many Palestinians suffered as a result of the

creation of the third Jewish state in the area, known — since the Romans

renamed Judea — as “Palestine.”

But it does mean that of all the causes the world could have adopted, the

Palestinians’ deserved to be near the bottom and the Tibetans’ near the top.

This is especially so since the Palestinians could have had a state of their own

from 1947 on, and they have caused great suffering in the world, while the far

more persecuted Tibetans have been characterized by a morally rigorous

doctrine of nonviolence.

So, the question is, why?

Why have the Palestinians received such undeserved attention and support,

and the far more aggrieved and persecuted and moral Tibetans given virtually

no support or attention?

The first reason is terror. Some time ago, the Palestinian leadership decided,

with the overwhelming support of the Palestinian people, that murdering as

many innocent people — first Jews, and then anyone else — was the fastest

way to garner world attention. They were right.

On the other hand, as The Economist notes in its March 28, 2008 issue,

“Tibetan nationalists have hardly ever resorted to terrorist tactics…”

It is interesting to speculate how the world would have reacted had Tibetans

hijacked international flights, slaughtered Chinese citizens in Chinese

restaurants and temples, on Chinese buses and trains, and massacred

Chinese schoolchildren.

The second reason is oil and support from powerful fellow Arabs.

The Palestinians have rich friends who control the world’s most needed

commodity, oil. The Palestinians have the unqualified support of all Middle

Eastern oil-producing nations and the support of the Muslim world beyond

the Middle East.

The Tibetans are poor and have the support of no nations, let alone

oil-producing ones.

The third reason is Israel. To deny that pro-Palestinian activism in the

world is sometimes related to hostility toward Jews is to deny the obvious.

It is not possible that the unearned preoccupation with the Palestinians is

unrelated to the fact that their enemy is the one Jewish state in the world.

Israel’s Jewishness is a major part of the Muslim world’s hatred of Israel.

It is also part of Europe’s hostility toward Israel:

Portraying Israel as oppressors assuages some of Europe’s guilt about

the Holocaust — “see, the Jews act no better than we did.”

Hence the ubiquitous comparisons of Israel to Nazis.

A fourth reason is China. If Tibet had been crushed by a white European

nation, the Tibetans would have elicited far more sympathy. But, alas, their

near-genocidal oppressor is not white. And the world does not take mass

murder committed by non-whites nearly as seriously as it takes anything

done by Westerners against non-Westerners.

Furthermore, China is far more powerful and frightening than Israel.

Israel has a great army and nuclear weapons, but it is pro-West, it is a free

and democratic society, and it has seven million people in a piece of land

as small as Belize. China has nuclear weapons, has a trillion U.S. dollars,

an increasingly mighty army and navy, is neither free nor democratic,

is anti-Western, and has 1.2 billion people in a country that dominates

the Asian continent.

A fifth reason is the world’s Left. As a general rule, the Left demonizes Israel

and has loved China since it became Communist in 1948. And given the power

of the Left in the world’s media, in the political life of so many nations, and in

the universities and the arts, it is no wonder vicious China has been idolized

and humane Israel demonized.

The sixth reason is the United Nations, where Israel has been condemned in

more General Assembly and Security Council resolutions than any other country

in the world. At the same time, the UN has voted China onto its Security Council

and has never condemned it. China’s sponsoring of Sudan and its genocidal

acts against its non-Arab black population, as in Darfur, goes largely unremarked

on at the UN, let alone condemned, just as is the case with its cultural genocide,

ethnic cleansing and military occupation of Tibet.

The seventh reason is television news, the primary source of news for much of mankind.

Aside from its leftist tilt, television news reports only what it can video. And almost

no country is televised as much as Israel, while video reports in Tibet are forbidden,

as they are almost anywhere in China except where strictly monitored by the Chinese

authorities. No video, no TV news. And no TV, no concern.

So while grieving Palestinians and the accidental killings of Palestinians during

morally necessary Israeli retaliations against terrorists are routinely televised,

the slaughter of over a million Tibetans and the extinguishing of Tibetan Buddhism

and culture are non-events as far as television news is concerned.

The world is unfair, unjust and morally twisted.

And rarely more so than in its support for the Palestinians — no matter how many

innocents they target for murder and no matter how much Nazi-like anti-Semitism

permeates their media — and its neglect of the cruelly treated, humane Tibetans.

IF …

Jesus our Shepherd and Savior
Jesus our Shepherd and Savior

If Satan had not desired to be on equal status and wanted to be God; Jesus would not have to be the atonement for mankind’s sin.

If Eve had not been tempted and Adam being influenced; mankind would not have to toil and toil and spin and spin.

If one third of the angels have not followed the Devil and mated with humans; magic and sorcery would not have emerged.

If humans have listened to the words of God; He would not have wanted humans purged.

If God wasn’t a merciful and full of loving-kindness God; He would not have kept Noah and his family safe from the Big Flood.

If the scribes and Pharisees weren’t eager for man’s glory and Judas’s blatant greed, Jesus our Lord would not have to spill His precious blood.

If not for the power and miracle work of God; Israel would not have birthed in 1948, as prophesied, as a nation again.

If time of the end is upon us soon and humans do not feel the need to repent of their sins, Jesus’ sacrifice in death would have been pointless and in vain.

If God and Jesus have not fought and battled hard with the Devil for our souls, we humans would have ceased in our own raging wars and sins.

If this present wicked violent world ends, it would be Jesus and His armies from the heavens having conquered the Devil and on that note, God wins.
