Suit of Armor from God_Word of God

Ephesians : 6 : 10-18 [NWT]

10 Finally, go on acquiring power in [the] Lord and

in the mightiness of his strength.

11 Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU

may be able to stand firm against the machinations of

the Devil;

12 because we have a wrestling, not against blood and

flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities,

against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked

spirit forces in the heavenly places.

13 On this account take up the complete suit of armor from

God, that YOU may be able to resist in the wicked day and,

after YOU have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm.

14 Stand firm, therefore, with YOUR loins girded about

with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and with YOUR feet shod with the equipment of the good

news of peace.

16 Above all things, take up the large shield of faith, with

which YOU will be able to quench all the wicked one’s

burning missiles.

17 Also, accept the helmet of salvation, and the sword of

the spirit, that is, God’s word,

18 while with every form of prayer and supplication YOU

carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit.

The Gift Of Insults

A ZEN STORY

by a Zen Master

great warrior

There once lived a great warrior.

Though quite old, he still was able to defeat any challenger.

His reputation extended far and wide throughout the land

and many students gathered to study under him.

Arrogant and Foolishly Insolent
Arrogant and Foolishly Insolent

One day an infamous young warrior arrived at the village.

He was determined to be the first man to defeat the great master.

Along with his strength, he had an uncanny ability to spot

and exploit any weakness in an opponent.

He would wait for his opponent to make the first move,

thus revealing a weakness, and then

would strike with merciless force and lightning speed.

No one had ever lasted with him in a match

beyond the first move.

Much against the advice of his concerned students,

the old master gladly accepted the young warrior’s challenge.

As the two squared off for battle,

the young warrior began to hurl insults at the old master.

He threw dirt and spit in his face.

For hours he verbally assaulted him with every curse

and insult known to mankind.

But the old warrior merely stood there motionless and calm.

Finally, the young warrior exhausted himself.

Knowing he was defeated, he left feeling shamed.

Somewhat disappointed that he did not fight the insolent youth,

the students gathered around the old master

and questioned him.

“How could you endure such an indignity?

How did you drive him away?”

“If someone comes to give you a gift and you do not receive it,”
the master replied, “to whom does the gift belong?”

Our destiny is determined by our philosophy and attitude.
What we do in the next five minutes is also
determined by our philosophy and attitude.
We can have good intentions but unless they are followed by action,
those good intentions remain no more than an illusion.
Our attitude needs energy to survive.
We must therefore allow it to bask in moments of regeneration.
We need only rest long enough to gain strength.
A positive mental attitude is the strength to drive
our actions forward.
When you say to a child, “I’ll be there in five minutes,”
but have no intention for half an hour or more
the child starts to lose respect.
As a parent you will mould your child into a future adult,
if you refuse to give the child attention the child
will use other influences to mould themselves.

more Miracles than any wonder drug”.

“Strength does not come from winning.
Your Struggles develop your Strengths.
When you go through Hardships and opt
not to Surrender, that is Strength.”

LIFE … The Journey

Life's Journey
Life's an Intriguing Journey

Life is an uphill battle, also an intriguing journey
a sojourner on fascinating trails of soul’s tourney

Life is a repertoire of good and bad, wins and losses
no matter the circumstances humans prevails the tosses

Life is not a lavish road of personal selfish indulgence
but kindly loving acts to each and everyone in accordance

Life is questing and thirsting serendipitous surprises
all defining golden moments that one covets as prizes

Life is a series of devastating trials and tribulations
that toughens the spirit, assurance of transformations

LIFE ... Appreciate The Journey
LIFE ... Appreciate The Journey

Life is a medley of loves, some unrequited some great
which all human hearts are buoyed with destined fate

Life is much drama sporadic times of ease and leisure
some events better forgotten other moments to treasure

Life is where we feel heights of joy and depths of sorrow
where it alters our attitudes and perspectives for tomorrow

Life is like a river, meandering stream or a gushing rapid
accept whatever destiny brings, the zest together the vapid

Life is the ultimate heartbeat and pulse of every soul
stay true to yourself and to God and you’ll feel whole

IF …

Jesus our Shepherd and Savior
Jesus our Shepherd and Savior

If Satan had not desired to be on equal status and wanted to be God; Jesus would not have to be the atonement for mankind’s sin.

If Eve had not been tempted and Adam being influenced; mankind would not have to toil and toil and spin and spin.

If one third of the angels have not followed the Devil and mated with humans; magic and sorcery would not have emerged.

If humans have listened to the words of God; He would not have wanted humans purged.

If God wasn’t a merciful and full of loving-kindness God; He would not have kept Noah and his family safe from the Big Flood.

If the scribes and Pharisees weren’t eager for man’s glory and Judas’s blatant greed, Jesus our Lord would not have to spill His precious blood.

If not for the power and miracle work of God; Israel would not have birthed in 1948, as prophesied, as a nation again.

If time of the end is upon us soon and humans do not feel the need to repent of their sins, Jesus’ sacrifice in death would have been pointless and in vain.

If God and Jesus have not fought and battled hard with the Devil for our souls, we humans would have ceased in our own raging wars and sins.

If this present wicked violent world ends, it would be Jesus and His armies from the heavens having conquered the Devil and on that note, God wins.
